Google Chrome 4, extensions

Couple days before I wrote about update to Google Chrome 4. I mentioned its extensions. Since then I installed four of them that are really useful:

The first one, as name suggests, gives you information about the weather in the city that was specified. Every time you switch your Chrome on, you'll get information about the conditions. Very useful, no need to search for the info.

Blog this! allows you to post the certain web page to your blog. You will find it interesting, when you share a lot of links in your blog. It gives you possibility to share information with couple of clicks. Personally I use this extension very often.

Chrome Bird is an extension allowing you to access your Tweeter account. You get all functionality by clicking on the icon. Every time new tweet has been sent, user is informed.

Docs PDF/PowerPoint Viewer allows you to view those files without installing any additional software. Very neat. In your face Microsoft and Adobe...lol

Google Mail Checker I think the name says it all:)

Just one more thing. The icons of all extensions are located in this place:

I know it is not too many information. To be honest with everybody I haven't used them for long time, so cannot really say a lot about them. So far, though, they've been useful.
Cheers

Google Notebook

While searching for some information about Gmail offline, which I mentioned in the post below, I found some interesting application at Google Labs. The application that caught my attention is Google Notebook. It might be very useful program for everybody. It allows you to "note" some information which you've found on the web.

It works as a plug in to the browser (in my case Firefox). In the corner of the window you can see its presence. After you click on the name you will see a window in which you can make different "notebooks" to which the information will be stored. If you wish to add any of the content of the web page to the notebook just mark it and right-click on it. On the menu you'll have the option saying "Note this (Google Notebook)". After it is in the application, you might want to comment on it or add label.

How many times have you found interesting information on the web, which you were too lazy to copy or note somewhere? After a while you realized that you need it no. Well, it happened to me couple of times, so for sure the Google Notebook will be great help:))
