Google Notebook

While searching for some information about Gmail offline, which I mentioned in the post below, I found some interesting application at Google Labs. The application that caught my attention is Google Notebook. It might be very useful program for everybody. It allows you to "note" some information which you've found on the web.

It works as a plug in to the browser (in my case Firefox). In the corner of the window you can see its presence. After you click on the name you will see a window in which you can make different "notebooks" to which the information will be stored. If you wish to add any of the content of the web page to the notebook just mark it and right-click on it. On the menu you'll have the option saying "Note this (Google Notebook)". After it is in the application, you might want to comment on it or add label.

How many times have you found interesting information on the web, which you were too lazy to copy or note somewhere? After a while you realized that you need it no. Well, it happened to me couple of times, so for sure the Google Notebook will be great help:))

Work on your gmail account OFFLINE!

Do you have gmail account? Now you can work with it even if you don't have connection with the internet. Google Labs has given the opportunity to do it when you are offline. Among the activities that you can perform are checking your mail, adding labels, saving them and writing the messages. In the last case the messages are gonna be sent immediately after the connection with internet has been retrieved.

For now that tool is available for the people who are testing the products by Google Labs. However, it is very easy to join them.

It is not the first tool working offline from Google. We all know that Google Docs and Google Reader might be used offline.

Below there is a video by Google made to represent the new feature:
